The great folks over at Airsoft GI in California have stepped up to help the SFAA! In light of recent airsoft
news, California Senate Bill 798 which will cause airsoft replicas
to be painted bright colors like blue and green and yellow. Which of course we all know defeats the purpose of why we play this game. This has a lot to do with an incident involving a police officer and young boy using his airsoft replica
in a inappropriate manner, which in turn lead to the officer shooting him. Not the kind of news we like to hear in our community.
The SFAA and Airsoft GI are both firm believers in responsibility and safety of the players and community
before anything else. Players from the start should be taught the rules and regulations, not only on a particular field, but how to properly handle, transport and where and when to play airsoft with your replica. Airsoft GI believes in the same values and will be sending the SFAA a couple of boxes of safety gear that we will be raffling off to help raise money to show that a dedicated field is more than needed for not only our community here in South Florida, but all over the United States.
The time to come together is now for our community. Not just here in South Florida, but all over the US. If you
would like to know how you can help, please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can visit the Airsoft GI Facebook Page for more information as well.
