The Method To Your Madness... Empty
PostSubject: The Method To Your Madness...   The Method To Your Madness... EmptyFri Oct 08, 2010 3:08 pm

Tell us why your loadout is the way it is. Discuss your vest set-up and primary and secondary weapons systems and explain why you use them and why they are the way they are.

I'll start.

My usual loadout consists of..

Plate Carrier
Radio
Headset
Triple Secondary Mag Pouch
Single Primary Mag Pouch
Single Point Bungie Sling for M4
Two Point Sling For AK
Benchmade Fixed Blade in Kydex QuikSheath
Safariland 6004 Drop Leg for 1911
Bladetech Drop Hip for Glock

Weaponry-

CA M4 Masterkey, Aimpoint, 6-position LE stock, Vertical Grip (when shotgun isn't mounted), Sawed off barrel with a strike bezel.
AK47 full size, no external business, old school. Real wood.
Glock 19 with Streamlight, 3 spare mags. Stock.
TM 1911 with Streamlight, ridiculously upgraded, best gun I own. 3 Spare Mags.

Why I use this... "Method to the madness"-

-The vest itself is a vest I use for work so naturally I like to train with it.
-Radio needs no explanation. Headset so only I can hear what is on the chatbox.
-3 pistol mags is my preferred amount of secondary mags in most games, sometime I'll use more.. but mostly just three. I tend to use my pistol a lot.
-I carry only two primary mags because, 1. I don't hose BB's. 2. Lightweight. 3. If I need to use more mags, I'll be wearing my chest rig which holds around 20 mags.
-Benchmade in quiksheath because a knife is a excellent tool, and I work outside all the time so it comes in handy everyday...not much to say about it.
-The drop leg I use for the 1911 protects it wonderfully and I can't use a hip holster due to my vest being in the way. The same explanation for my Bladetech for the glock. Same idea, except it's polymer instead of felt on the inside.

Why I chose my weapons-

The M4 has a very high rate of fire and is a lot shorter than my AK. I use it for room clearing or inside vehicles. The accuracy isn't very good. It also has a Masterkey shotgun mounted to it, so it increases badass factor.

The AK shoots very far, very accurately. It shoots like a sniper rifle. I love it. However, it has no optics, it's large, and has a slow rate of fire. I prefer to use it anywhere but room clearing. I've used it everywhere though. It's my favorite rifle.

The glock 19 I use because it's a lot smaller than my 1911 and when I'm doing CQB I can cycle it faster. It's easy to quickly reload with it, and I can empty a mag pretty quick. It's decent accuracy wise but it leaves a lot to be desired. Also, it shoots a lot lower FPS wise than my 1911 so it's safer for CQB. I have a streamlight on it because..well. It's obvious. Light shit up better so I can see in the dark.

The 1911 is my favorite gun. Period. Many can attest to the fact that it slays bodies very quickly and efficiently. It shoots around 400 fps, and is accurate to 180-200 feet. It's threaded so I can silence it, or be an idiot and put a Noveske Amplifier on it. I use this 99 percent of the time in games.

Yeah so thats my business. Whats the method to your madness?

The Method To Your Madness... Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Method To Your Madness...   The Method To Your Madness... EmptyFri Oct 08, 2010 4:14 pm

Ive Only Been Into Air soft For About 2 Years but i guess i have a setup up that's pretty cool.

Tactical Gear-
Ive got a tactical cross-draw vest with extra mag pouches instead of holster
Flashlight
Single eye binocular
8 130 round mid caps
3 300 round high caps
Tactical High Top Boots
Radio
Scott airsoft goggles
4 Co2 pistol magazines
Other various things i cant think of at the moment.

Weaponry-
Echo 1 USA stag arms mod 4 with bottom single tactical rail with vertical grip.
Co2 pistol with 4 magazines.

The Reason I Have My M4 Is Because Its Internals Are Just Really Simple To Upgrade. And I Can Easily Upgrade It Any Way I Want Unlike Something such as an Ak-47 that usually don't have tactical rails. I Have my co2 pistol because it was my first gun and i was just getting into airsoft. but if you were to go out and get a pistol definitely get a green gas because there more realistic and gas isn't as expensive as co2.
i also use mid-caps because even tho they hold less bb's you don't have to wind them and when your sneaking (or at least trying to) you don't get noticed because you sound like a giant maraca. ive gt my boots because it isn't very fun running through water and or mud and not having weather proof shoe and its nice to have steeled toed. ive also got my led flash light in case i go to a night game. even tho i haven't been to any. and i also love to keep my radio on me in case i get into any bigger games that require me to use a radio. well that's what i use and why i use it pretty much.
so now you know the method to my madness.

PostSubject: Re: The Method To Your Madness...   The Method To Your Madness... EmptyFri Oct 08, 2010 4:16 pm

I like the idea of this thread. Feel free to include pictures if you like.

I will not be typing as much at the moment, been writing emails all day for the organization.

Primary:
Fully Upgraded L96 - I can reach out and touch at about 230 or so feet. I have yet to measure more than that without wind.

Secondary:
WE 1911 GBB - All my teammates run with this model. We can exchange magazines if one person runs out. Very handy during large operations.
Tokyo Marui MK23 w/supressor - When working...I use it to sneak up on people and its really really quiet and accurate.

Belt:
HSGI Sniper Waist Belt - Holds my magazines (up to 4), some extra goodies in the back, kill rag and radio. This replaces a chest rig and makes it easier if I have to go prone...I can still reach my magazines.

Comms:
Cobra Radio with Iasus Sniper Pro throat mic - always good to keep in touch and hear whats going on....and when I do need to talk, I can whisper. A great investment

And last but not least a Camelbak - I make it a point to stay hydrated. Went to the hospital last summer due to heat stroke.

Guys, just FYI.

This isn't a place to just post your weapons and gear. It's to explain WHY you have them and why they are set-up that way. This way others can learn what works and what helps you play better.

The Method To Your Madness... Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Method To Your Madness...   The Method To Your Madness... EmptyMon Oct 11, 2010 2:09 am

I'll just follow Gino's exact format...

My usual loadout consists of..

Eagle Chest Rig
Radio Pouch
Training Knife with Sheath
Kydex Holster (To add this week hopefully)
Radio with headset
Dump pouch
Speedloader
Knife with serrated edge
**Medium Assault Pack
**Camelbak

Weaponry-

-Magpul PTS ACR with RDS, Surefire G2, and 10 Pmags
-CA FAL upgraded with 4x Optic and 3 highcaps
-CA MP5A5 with Flashlight Handguard with 8 mags
-2x USP Full size with 4 mags

Why I use this... "Method to the madness"-

-I have been through about seven chest rigs and vests, and I have found this chest rig to be the best one. It is small, carries all of the essentials I need to complete the mission, but with only a slight hindrance on movement compared to plate carriers.
-Radio pouch to stay in constant communication with team, and a headset so that I can only hear the chatter
-I have a training knife with a sheath so that if I happen to be out of ammo on my primary and secondary, I still have a weapon. I am also learning knife tactics that I plan to practice with in airsoft.
-I will be getting a kydex holster specifically because I want to have a fast draw in transitions from my primary to secondary. It is a nuisance to switch to my secondary with my current MOLLE holster.
-Dump pouch to quickly dump my used magazines if I am not doing a tactical reload.
-Speedloader to reload my midcaps if I end up putting down some unexpected serious fire. You can never be too prepared.
-The knife as a useful tool in cutting anything if need be. Serrated edge for cutting rope, 550 cord, etc.

-I only plan on carrying my assault pack and camelbak during extended games that last hours continuously. It would hold my water in a camelbak bladder, carry bags of ammo for the team, smoke grenades if permitted, medical supplies for away games or for other safety reasons. It would also house a compass, 550 paracord, a larger knife, chem lights, etc. as well.

Suprisingly though, with the assault pack and chest rig, it is still a pretty light loadout meant for mobility rather than armor. I have played airsoft for over 2 years, tried to emulate certain loadouts, and now I go for functionality over impressions.

Why I chose my weapons-

The ACR is my field gun. It would be primarily used for woodland or open field play. It is dead-on accurate, nearly silent, and very light weight. Another plus is that is accepts STANAG type mags so my team can exchange ammo.

The CA FAL is used as a Designated Marksman Rifle. If the situation calls for a DM in the squad, I would be able to provide rapid accurate fire that would normally be outside the normal effective range of the squad.

The MP5 is meant as a back up gun for the ACR if it ever goes down, but the MP5 is also my CQB weapon. If I know I will play in a CQB urban environment clearing buildings and rooms, this is the gun of my choice. The ACR is too long with the silencer to used for clearing rooms effectively.

I have two KWA USPs because I love the pistol, and I happened to purchase two of them; one upgraded, the other one stock. If any part malfunctions on my upgraded one, I still have another pistol to put on my loadout. I DO NOT carry both at the sametime, this isn't Call of Duty. It is a back-up for my secondary.

If you have any question about my loadout or why I chose it, post up or PM me.

The Method To Your Madness... Empty
PostSubject: My loadout   The Method To Your Madness... EmptySat Oct 16, 2010 11:18 pm

My killer loadout
Primary:
Fully Upgraded Utg L96 - I can hit a man at about 250 feet with no wind.

Secondary:
Now alot of you guys may think this is overkill echo1 m4 upgraded to be super silent and super fast.

pockets in bdu:
three extra mags for sniper rifle that a total of 100 rounds, then i carry another 500 round m4 highcap, i also carry a speedloader and sometimes a bottle of water

Camo:
sometimes depending on heat i will use my ghille but this is only really in summer because face it in florida in summer its average 97 F and with ghille that ways 8 pounds thats probaly about 115 F and that pretty risky.

Reasons why

Ghille-......... camoflauge
Utg sniper upgraded- to shoot accuretly and quietly and ranges over 250 feet
Echo1 m4 upgraded- sometimes a gbb pistol aint enough when pinned to a car with two guys with m60 and a m249,and i learned this so now i carry this around on a sling on my back.
